AcmeBlogPro : Professional Blog Theme, News and Magazine

AcmeBlogPro is a simple and clean theme with responsive layout. This theme is specially designed for Blog, News and Magazine sites.

This theme have lots of options for building your website as your need. Easily and replaceable logo, favicon, social icons, background image, custom menu, slider, video in place of featured image, breaking news, time and date, advanced pagination, mega menu, breadcrumb, and lots of widgets for building your theme as your need.
We believe this documentation help you to install, setup and customize your site using our theme ‘AcmeBlogPro’.

Theme Installation

Download AcmeBlogPro theme from Acme Themes on your desktop or other specified folder.
Log in to WordPress administrative panel.
Go to Appearance > Themes > Add New
Click on Uploads and browse the acmeblogpro.zip from the desktop or other specified folder you have downloaded it.
Click on Install Now and click on Activate to install and activate theme.

Manual Installation

Download AcmeBlogPro theme from Acme Themes on your desktop or other specified folder. Unzip acmeblogpro.zip to your Desktop on other specified folder.
Using an FTP client to access your host web server. Go to /wp-content/themes/ and make sure that you do not already have a acmeblogpro folder installed there. If already installed there, then back it up and remove it from /wp-content/themes/ before uploading your copy of AcmeBlogPro theme.
Upload AcmeBlogPro to /wp-content/themes/
Activate AcmeBlogPro through “Appearance => Themes”, in your WordPress Dashboard

Dummy Data

Before importing the demo content. It is required that you install necessary plugins. They are:
1. Acme Demo Setup
2. Advanced Import

Then you can follow the path below:

Dashboard > Appearance > Demo Import
Click on Get Started and a page will appear with a thumbnail image of the demo design.(There can be more than 1 demo design in some themes)
Hover over the image and click on Import
Then in few minutes the demo will be imported in your site and you can visit your site now.

Setting up Image Sizes

Go to the Settings, then Media.
Set thumbnail size : 500 * 280
Set Medium size : 690 * 400
Set Large size : 1080 * 530
Click to Save the Changes

How to make the image size as on demo?

First, go to Settings > Media
Set thumbnail size : 500 * 280
Set Medium size : 690 * 400
Set Large size : 840 * 480
Click on Save Changes to save the change.

We recommend you to use plugin named Acme Fix Image
to crop the actual size of the images.

Start Adding-Editing Contents in your site

Now you can start adding/editing content in you site

Add Categories and Posts.
Add different Pages.

Using Theme Customization Options

‘AcmeBlogPro’ comes with advanced Theme Customization options.
Go to the Appearance, then Customize.
Now you can customize you site with great theme customization options.

Manage Site Title, Tagline and Site Icon

From Customize, go to Site Identity
You will see options for Site Title, Tagline, Site Icon
After adding/editing them, don’t forget to click ‘Save & Publish’ button at the top

Creating Menus

From Customize, go to Menus or go to Menus under Appearance
You can setup everything related to menus there

Setting up Front page and Blog ( Posts ) page

From Customize, go to Static Front Page or Reading under Settings
Choose a A static page
Now select Front page and Posts page from the dropdown
Note: if you don’t have added pages for this, first add pages from WordPress Admin panel => Pages

How to setup features sections

Featured sections includes Featured Slider and Slider Right Sections (2 block sections). You have a others options for making Right section to Left, top and bottom of the slider.

How to Enable / Disable Featured Section?

Featured section contains slider and slider right section. (Feature section will display on front/home page)

From Customize, go to Featured Section Options then Enable Feature Section
Check to enable and unchecked to disable feature section on home page/front page.

Featured Slider (Category Slider)

From Customize, go to Featured Section Options then Featured Slider
Select Slider from Category, Recent Posts, Page and Custom
If Category is selected above, choose any one of the category for slider on “Select Category For Slider”
You can also select the Recent Post For slider.
If you select from the Page, please select the parent page for slider. Child pages will appeared on slider.

If you want to make a custom slider choose Custom and use the available options for custom slider. (Altogether you can make 5 custom slide with Image, Slide title, Slide descriptions, and Slide link)

How to control the slider on Featured Section?

From Customize, go to Featured Section Options then Featured Slider Options
Set the Number of Words in Content
Set Slider Speed (in ms)
Check to enable auto play slide. Uncheck will disable the auto play of slide.
Set the time for Slider Pause (in ms) (The amount of time (in ms) between each auto transition)
Check and Uncheck to show and hide Next and Previous control.

Note: Some of the options not display if you have selected slider from “Custom”

How to manage slider right section?

You can set post or category for the right section. Right section can move on left, below or top of the slider.

From Customize, go to Featured Section Options then Slider right / Post block section.
Use the available options for managing right section.
You can Show / Hide Title, Date, Author and Comments on the slider right section.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Header Options

How to setup site logo and its options?

From Customize, go to Header Options then Logo Options
You will find advanced Logo Options

How to enable-disable Date and Time in header section?

From Customize, go to Header Options then Enable Date and Time
You can show/hide date and time

How to setup Social Links?

From Customize, go to Header Options then Social Options
You will find options for Social Links and other

How to add Home Icon and Search on Menu?

From Customize, go to Header Options then Search Options
You can enable-disable Search on Header

Footer options

How to change footer copyright?

From Customize, go to Footer Option
You will able to change Copyright Text from there

How to change the number of column for footer area?

From Customize, go to Footer Option
Select the available number from Number Of Sidebars (section column ) in Footer Area

How to enable/disable go to top?

From Customize, go to Footer Option
You will enable/disable form Enable go to top check box.

How to hide Enable theme name and Powered by?

From Customize, go to Footer Option
You will enable/disable Enable Theme Name and Powered by Text.

How to enlarge the footer area?

From Customize, go to Footer Option
Checked on “Enlarge Footer Width to full”
If preview is fine click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Layout/Design Options

How to add / remove intro Intro Loader Middle Image ?

From customize go to Layout/Design options > Intro Loader Options.
Select the image for intro loader.
Select the background color for intro loader section.
Check to enable and unchecked to disable the intro loader.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Setting up Default Layout

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Default Layout.
From the drop down Choose Full width or Boxed.

Add or Remove Shadow

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Default Layout.
Checked on “Disable Shadow Box” to enable or disable shadow.
Click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.

How to change the appearance of front page/home page with Full width?

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Front / Home sidebar layout.
Select no sidebar for full width.
If right sidebar is necessary, choose right sidebar.
Available options are Left Sidebar, Right sidebar, Both sidebar and No sidebar.

How to set Default sidebar Layout?

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Default sidebar layout.
Select the available options from the drop down.
Please Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

How to manage the Blog / Archive Layout?

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Blog / Archive Layout Options.
You will find lot of options for Blog and Archive Layout.
Use the available options as your need.
Select the number of Columns for blog page.
Select the number of pages for archive page.
Use the available options for managing blog and archive page.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

How to change the color of different sections?

We categorized two type of color options. Basic color options and advanced color options.

Basic Color Options:

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Basic Color Options.
Select the available color as your need.
You can change Background color, Site Title and Tagline Color, Hover Color, Heading color, Primary color and more.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Advanced Color Options:

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Advanced Color Options.
More Color options are available here.
Choose the color as your need.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

How to manage the font’s family?

There are more than 100 font’s family available on this theme. To manage the fonts,

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Font Family.
You will find the various options for managing font’s family.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

How to add Background Image?

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Background Image.
Select the Image from the media library or upload from the drive.

Where to write the Custom CSS?

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Custom CSS.
Write your own custom CSS here.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Single Post Options

How to show related post on single post?

From Customize, go to Single Post Options > Single Post Related Post Options.
Select the available options or manage the options for managing related posts on single post.

How to Show / Hide Author Info?

From Customize, go to Single Post Options > Author Info Options.
Check to show and unchecked to hide the author info on single post.

How to manage post navigation options?

From Customize, go to Single Post Options > Post Navigation Options.
Select the available options for Navigation. (Default, Title and Image and Image) are the available options.

How to manage Post comment Options?

From Customize, go to Single Post Options > Post comments Options.
Use available options for managing this section.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Theme Options (Extra Options)

Here lots of options are available for managing your site. This options help you to customize your site easily.

How to manage Breadcrumb?

From Customize, go to Theme Options > Breadcrumb Options.
You can select the available options from dropdown for breadcrumb.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

How to change Pagination Type?

From Customize, go to Theme Options > Pagination Options.
Select pagination type from the available options.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish button to save the changes

How to change the Search Placeholder?

From Customize, go to Theme Options > Search.
Write the search placeholder.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

How to reset Color and Fonts?

From Customize, go to Reset Options.
Select for resetting Color or Fonts.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.

Widgets Area

There are several widgets available in the theme. All the available widgets are easy to operate and helps to build your site easily.

For managing theme,

Go to Appearance > Widgets

Drag and Drop or simply click to add the Widget on widget area.

AcmeBlogPro have Main Sidebar Area (Right Sidebar), Left Sidebar, Footer Column One, Footer Column Two, Footer Column Three and Footer Column Four.

You can set the available widget on the available widget area.

How to Manage Widgets?

There are 7 new widgets are added on this theme. This widgets help you to build your site as your need. Each widgets have lots of options available with easy operate able.

AT Advertisement:

This widget help you to add the advertisement image, title, code, and link. Use can use the available options for managing advertisement on the specific widget area.

AT Author:

This widget is used for managing the author with author details, image etc.

AT Slider:

This widget is used for making slider on the widget area.

AT Popular Post Column:

This widget is used for showing the popular posts on the widget area.

And several other widgets are available on this theme. Use the widget with available options. It is easy to use and user friendly. Each field is described on every section.

How to add Video on place on Featured Image?

This theme provides the feature for using video instead of featured image for single page. It is easy to embed your youtube video on your post.

Create a new post or edit the old post.
Below the featured image section, you will find the Featured Video section.
As mentioned there, put your video id after ‘embed’.
Example: https://www.youtube.com/embed/tyFzhpyHnUI
Just change the id ‘tyFzhpyHnUI’ with your own video id of youtube.
If you want to replace the featured image by video then check on Replace Featured Image In Single Post.
If you need auto play check on Autoplay Video.
Click on Publish or Update button above.
