Theme Installation

From WordPress Dashboard Appearance > Themes

Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
Click Add New.
Upload the Zip file of AcmePhotoPro
After Installing the theme Click Activate button.

FTP Installation (alternate method)

Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
Extract acmephotopro.zip and upload the folder.
Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
Click the Activate link.

Dummy Data

Before importing the demo content. It is required that you install necessary plugins. They are:
1. Acme Demo Setup
2. Advanced Import

Then you can follow the path below:

Dashboard > Appearance > Demo Import
Click on Get Started and a page will appear with a thumbnail image of the demo design.(There can be more than 1 demo design in some themes)
Hover over the image and click on Import
Then in few minutes the demo will be imported in your site and you can visit your site now.

Note: We recommend you to import demo data on new installation.

Adding Pages

AcmePhtoPro is build in a such way that you need to manage every section with Child/Parent page. The Parent Page will be the selector and the Child Pages will display on the front end.

Slider Section, Widgets section are managed by it. Are you in trouble how to make child/parent page? Visit Here.

Adding a new page is the same way as default WordPress installations, however, there are extra options that might need explaining.

This theme is specially build for photography purpose. Usually each page/post have content and featured image. Featured image will display on front page, in single page.

Adding Featured Image

Go to Admin Panel
Go to Pages > Add New
Give the title of the Page
Write the content of the Page
Scroll to down and see the right corner, you will find the Set Featured Image section

Follow the same procedure while creating post. Don’t miss to add the featured image on every posts.

Build In Customizer

This theme can fully customize from the Customize section. To customize theme, Go to Appearance > Customize. You will find the various options related to theme.

Parent Page and Child Pages

This theme is based on Parent Page and Child Pages. All the section on the home page are managed by Widgets and the content on the sections are called from Child Pages.

Parent Page will be a selector page and the content of it’s child page will appear on front end. Look here to know about how to create a Child Pages.

Home Page/Make Home Page as Demo

Are you wondering about how to create home page as our demo ? Here we are going to present you how to make home page as demo. Please just follow the below procedure to make it. It’s simple to create home page.

1. Install Theme AcmePhotoPro

Go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Themes > Add New Theme > Upload > AcmePhotoPro
Click on Install and then Activate

Note: If you already activated the theme, leave this step.

2. Enable Slider and Select Slider

You have various options to choose slider. Page/Category or Custom. Select the best options for you. If you select the parent/child page, parent page will be the selector and it’s child page will appear on front end.

If the content on the slider appeared more than needed, you can add the Slider Content in Excerpt Field. The Content of the excerpt filed will appear on front page and the content section contents are in inner pages.

If you select the category, the post on that category will appear. You can control the every elements from the options there.

If you select the custom slider, you can choose the image, title, link, button text everything.

Go to Appearance > Customize > Featured Section Options > Feature Slider Selection
Select parent page and its sub-pages will be shown is slider or,
Select Category for the post slider or,
Select the custom slider and create your own slider.

3. Section below the slider
Are you wondering how to add the section below the slider ? It’s simple, please follow the below process:

Go to Appearance > Widget
Add the available widget (Example AT Team Section) on “Home Main Content Area”

Use the available options of the Widgets
View the home page, you will find the about section there.

6. More section on Home Page
If you need more section on home page, just add the available widget there on “Home Main Content Area”

Make Team Section On Home Page.(Follow Same Parent Page and Child Page Process)

Theme Options and Setting on Customizer

All the team options and settings are available on Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize. From this section you can manage,

Site Title, Tagline & Logo

From Customize, go to Site Identity
You will get the options to manage Site title, tagline and logo.
Use the available options to customize the logo, site title and tagline.
If preview is fine Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Slider Sections

We already discussed this section above. You will find the various options related on slider here.

Go to Appearance > Customize > Featured section options

Enable Slider

Go to Appearance > Customize > Featured section options > Enable Featured section.
Checked on Enable Featured Section
Featured section will display on Front/Home page
If preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” button to save the changes.

Featured Slider Selection

Go to Appearance > Customize > Featured section options > Feature Slider Selection.
Select the Parent Page and its child pages will appear on slider. Look here to create child pages.
If preview is fine, click on “Save & Publish” to save the changes.
Featured Image of each sub page will appear as a slider image.

Widgets On Sidebar/Home Main Content Area

AcmePhotoPro is based on Widgets as well. You can manage the home page section, inner page sidebar section and footer section with widgets. To add the widgets on this section,

From Customize, go to Widgets and Sidebar or Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar
Add the necessary widgets from the available Widgets
If you add the Widgets on Home Main Content Area, it will appear on Home Page Section.
Drag up or down to manage the position of Widgets
After adding/editing them, don’t forget to click ‘Save & Publish’ button at the top.

Header Options

From the Header options, you can customize your site header
From Customize, go to Header Options
You can manage the social icons and menu position on the header.
If you enable the Social Icons here, it will appear right to the menu items.
Select the required position of the menu from the available options.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Footer Options

From Customize, go to Footer Option

Copyright Text

From Customize, go to Footer Option and Copyright Text
Write your Footer Copyright Text
Click on ‘Save & Publish’ button to save your change.

Social Options

From Customize, go to Footer Option and Social Options
Enable the Social icons on the footer. You must need to add the social links on header section first.
Click on ‘Save & Publish’ button to save your change.

Powered By Text

Write your own power by text.
You can add the link as well. (Example: “<a href=”www.acmethemes.com/contact”> Contact Us </a>“)

Other Options

Choose the other various available options there.
Go to top, number of sidebars on footer, enable social etc.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Layout/Design Option

Very flexible options for changing you site layout, design and colors.

Front Page Content Options

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Front page content options
Checked to hide the content from front page.
If Latest Post is selected on Static Front Page, latest post will hide and if Front page is selected, front page content will hide.

Intro Loader Options

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Intro Loader Options
It will appear when site is loading.
You can choose image, color and enable/disable it.

Setting up Default Layout

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Default Layout
The layout available are Boxed and Full Width.

Front/Home Sidebar Layout

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Front/Home Sidebar Layout
It will appear on Front page/Home Page
Select the available options for the sidebar.
If preview is fine, click on save an publish.

Setting up Archive sidebar Layout

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Archive Sidebar Layout
It will appear on Blog, Archive, Category and Author page.
Select the available options for the sidebar.
If preview is fine, click on save an publish.

Single Post/Page Sidebar Layout

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Single Post/Page Sidebar Layout
It will appear on single post/page.
Select the available options for the sidebar.
If you want to change the sidebar on specific page, you can set it from the individual page options(Edit that page> Scroll to Down and You will find the options for that specific page.)
If preview is fine, click on save an publish.

Sticky Sidebar Options

If you want to make your sidebars sticky, this options is helpful for you.
From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Sticky Sidebar Layout
Checked on Enable Sticky Sidebar Loader to enable it.

Blog Archive Layout

In this section, you can manage the every entity of the blog archive page. You have various options to manage this sections.

Enable/Disable Gap between photos
Popup options with single image or gallery
Enable/Disable Single Link
Number of Columns on Blog Page
Number of columns on Archive Page
Size of image on Blog/Archive Page
Show/Hide title, author, date, category etc.
And you have various other options as well in this section.
Use the available options to make your blog/archive page.

Color Options

In the pro theme, we have Basic color options and Advanced color options.

Basic Color Options

This section helps to manage the basic color including, background, title, tagline, body, heading etc.

From Customize, go to Layout/Design Option then Background Image
You can add or remove the Background Image
Manage the Background Image based on available options

View at the top, you will see the screen options
