Theme Installation
From the WordPress Dashboard
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
- Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- Click Add New.
- In Search themes option at the right type ‘WOW Blog’.
- When ‘WOW Blog’ appears click Install button
- After Installing the theme Click Activate button
FTP Installation (alternate method)
- Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
- Extract wow-blog.zip and upload the wow-blog folder.
- Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
- Click the Activate link.
DummyData
Before importing the demo content. It is required that you install necessary plugins. They are:
1. Acme Demo Setup
2. Advanced Import
Then you can follow the path below:
- Dashboard > Appearance > Demo Import
- Click on Get Started and a page will appear with a thumbnail image of the demo design.(There can be more than 1 demo design in some themes)
- Hover over the image and click on Import
- Then in few minutes the demo will be imported in your site and you can visit your site now.
Adding Posts
Adding a new post is the same way as default WordPress installations, however, there are extra options that might need explaining.This theme is specially built for blog purpose, better to add featured image on every post. Featured image will display on front page, in a single page.
Adding Featured Image
- Go to Admin Panel
- Go to Posts > Add New Post
- Give the title of the post
- Write the content of the post
- Scroll to down and see the right corner, you will find the Set Featured Image section
- Select the image from the media library
- Click on Publish button to save the changes.
This theme can fully customize from the Customize section. To customize the theme, Go to Appearance > Customize. You will find the various options related to the theme.
How to Increase the number of Post on Home Page?
If you want to increase the number of post on Home Page,
- Go to Admin Menu > Setting > Reading
- Increase the number of post on “Blog pages show at most”

Theme Options on Customizer
When you go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize, there you will see various options available to customize your site. Just try those options one by one you will able to understand how the theme works and can create any kinds of sites.

Site Identity
This section includes Logo as well as Site Title and Tagline. You can manage site title, tagline as well as the logo.
How to add “Logo” of the theme?
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
- Choose the logo image from the media library
- If the preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish button to save the change.
- Recommended Logo Size is 1080*120, or you can use your required size as well.
Slider Featured Section
The featured section includes the slider and its options.
How to manage slider?
If you want to change the default header image please follow these steps.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Slider Featured Section > Enable Featured Section (Feature section will display on front/home page.)
- Enable the Featured Section
- Go one step back on Feature Slider Selection
- Select the category from the dropdown also the number of slides.
- If the preview is fine then click on “Save & Publish” button to save the changes.
- If you want to remove the slider section, go inside the Enable Feature Section and Unchecked to hide it.
Note: Recommended size of the image for the slider is 1800*700 or same proportion.
Blog Featured Section
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Featured Section > Enable Featured Section (Feature section will display on the blog page. If the static front page is selected, it will not appear on the front page).
- Enable Feature Section and,
- Go one step back on Feature Section Selection,
- Select the category from the dropdown.
- If the preview is fine then click on “Save & Publish” button to save the changes.
- Use the same proportion size image to make the image size equal. (Example: 900*600)
Header Options
How to enable Header top?
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Options > Enable Header Top
- You will see the options to manage Social, Telephone, Gmail, and Search.
- Use the available options to manage this section.
- To make the menu visible, go to Appearance > Customize > Menus and set the Top menu items.
Social Options
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Options > Social Options and add the links there.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
- If you don’t want to show anyone link, just leave it blank.
Header Image
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Options > Header Image and add the header image there.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
- If you don’t want to show anyone link, just leave it blank.
Footer Options
How to Add Copyright Text On Footer?
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer Options
- Enter your own Copyright Text
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
How to enable Social Links on Footer?
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer Options
- Checked on Enable social to show the social icons.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
- First, manage the social icons from the header section.
Layout/Design Options
Front Page Contents
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Front Page Content Options
- Checked on Hide Front Page Content to hide the contents on the front page.
- You may want to hide front page content( Blog or Static page content). Check this to hide them.
Single Page/Posts Sidebar Layout
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Single Page/Post Sidebar Layout
- Choose the options from the dropdown.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Front/Home sidebar Layout
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Front/Home Sidebar Layout
- Choose the options from the dropdown.
- You can use the sidebar on left, right or no sidebar.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Archive Sidebar Layout
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Front/Home Sidebar Layout
- Choose the options from the dropdown.
- You can use the sidebar on left, right or no sidebar.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Sticky Sidebar Option
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Sticky Sidebar Option
- Enable the sticky sidebar loader.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Author Archive Options
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Author Archive Options
- Choose the options from dropdown, Advanced or Default.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Button Design
Please follow the below steps to change the button design:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout Design Option > Button Design
- Choose the options from the dropdown.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Default blog/archive layout
Please follow the below steps to change the default blog/archive layout:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout/Design Option > Default Blog/Archive Layout
- Change the available options from drop down.
- Available options are Left Image, Full Image, and No Image.
- Choose your required options.
- If the preview is fine, click on save and publish to save the changes.
Colors
Please follow the below steps to change the theme of primary color and background color:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout Design Option > Colors
- Select the Primary color and Background Color
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Background Image
If you add or remove the background image, please follow the below steps:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Layout Design Option > Background Image
- Upload to add and remove to remove the background image
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Single Post Options
How to enable/disable related post on a single page?
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Single Post Options
- Select the desired image size style from the drop-down menu in the Image Layout Options
- Checked on Show Related Images In Single Post to enable the related post on a single page
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Theme Options
How to enable/disable breadcrumb on pages and posts?
If you enable or disable breadcrumb options of pages and posts, please follow the below steps:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Breadcrumb Options
- Checked/Unchecked “Enable Breadcrumb” to enable/disable it.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
How to change Search Placeholder?
If you want to change the search placeholder, please follow the below steps:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Search
- Enter your search placeholder.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
How to change Pagination Option?
If you want to change the search placeholder, please follow the below steps:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Pagination Options > Search
- Choose the pagination option from the drop-down menu for the blog and archive pages.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Widgets
This theme has default widget as well as one custom Widget for Managing post called AT Post Column. You can add the AT Post Column widget on the widget area. Widgets let you add and update some extra feature on your site like pages, text, images etc. It includes the followings:

Header Area
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Header Area
- You can update widgets in the header area here.

- You can update widgets in the sidebar area here.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Sidebar Left
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Sidebar Section Area
- You can update widgets in the sidebar left section area here.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Home Main Content Area
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Home Main Content Area
- You can update widgets in the home main content area here.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Footer Column One
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Column One
- You can update widgets in the first column of the footer.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Footer Column Two
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Column Two
- You can update widgets in the second column of the footer.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Footer Column Third
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Column Third
- You can update widgets in the third column of the footer.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Footer Column Fourth
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Column Fourth
- You can update widgets in the fourth column of the footer.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Additional CSS
Additional CSS lets you update the outlook of the site by adding more CSS to the theme.
